In a new home sale, the home is in a subdivision, the buyer is purchasing the new home plan, then selecting the lot to put it on. The lot is secondary to the sale of the new home.

In the case of an individual lot, floor plans are produced that meet the needs and desires of the home buyer. The home is more unique than a subdivision home. These homes are in higher demand by both local purchasers and purchasers from outside of the Mississippi Coast.
